Rhodes BBT Replacement Works
Works required the staged mass excavation of slope with stabilisation measures, Form-Reo-Pour of concrete slab, block wall installation, waterproofing, drainage and handrails. All works were completed within rail corridor outside of possession with trains running.

Russell Lea Public School

Westfield Parramatta
British Concrete completed 19,000m 2 of concrete topping on polystyrene over levels 4, 5, and 6 of Westfield Parramatta. The lightweight topping design allowed the existing centre floor levels to meet the new design requirements. The Job involved installing polystyrene pods and doweling into the existing concrete and completing the topping over the pods and into the ribs between the pods.

Roselands Shopping Centre Refurbishment
British Concrete has worked closely with ADCO construction on the refurbishment of Roselands Shopping centre bringing the oldest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere into 2019. Concrete topping works within the project included new concrete topping slabs for both ALDI and Woolworths trading floors, cool room wearing slabs for Liquor land and Woolworths using silicon carbide surface hardener and repairing existing concrete floors to provide a level concrete finish for tenancies and mall areas.

Concrete Repairs
Bondi Junction and Edgecliff Bus Interchanges
British Concrete completed the concrete joint repairs at both Bondi Junction and Edgecliff Bus interchanges while in operation. The work involved saw cutting damaged joints, filling joints with various epoxy and joint fillers, recutting and joint sealing. The works at Bondi were completed at night due to the high traffic during the day. Edgecliff works were carried out during the day. Both jobs were staged to meet the operation requirements of the sites.

Repair of concrete cancer to the railway bridge pylons. Works include breaking away damaged concrete, sandblasting, treating reinforcement, patching with epoxy mortar and epoxy injection to cracks.

Removal and replacement of damaged platform coping and replacing with a new coping using CTS material (rapid set cement product). Works also include reinstating tactile indicators and line marking. These works are completed over a possession weekend.

Turrella Bridge
British Concrete completed both concrete bridge repairs and waterproofing to railway bridge. Works including waterproofing the top of the bridge structure, underbridge scaffolding, and treating cracks and damaged areas to the underside of the bridge by scabbling, installing epoxy mortars and epoxy injection grouting. Works were completed during one possession weekend and non-possession shifts.

Roselands Shopping Centre Refurbishment
British Concrete has worked closely with ADCO construction on the refurbishment of Roselands Shopping centre bringing the oldest shopping centre in the southern hemisphere into 2019. Works have included: New concrete foundations, column encasements, and suspended concrete slabs, slab on ground slabs including subgrade preparation works, suspended lift pits, travellator and lift pits, dock levellers, kerbing and concrete topping slabs for both ALDI and Woolworths trading floors, concrete cool room wearing slabs, and concrete slab and column repairs.

Chau Chak Wing Building
British Concrete completed the high tolerance concrete topping to the entry level and level 1 which were burnish finished with the application of a clear floor sealer which made the floors a feature of the unique entry area. The feature of the concrete topping for the building was specifically selected by the architect Gehry to meet the unique architectural design of the building. External paving around the building was also part of our works.

Wilga Park Macquarie Park
Architectural concrete walls and seating completed to create an outdoor theatre and recreational space for Ryde Council. The project consisted of tiered outdoor seating, concrete walls, stairways and concrete paving. The final product is a unique outdoor area whose predominant feature is the curved concrete seating that wraps around the northern end of the park.
